A new face will be giving a presentation in the main keynote at HxGN Live 2014. Steve Cost, former Intergraph CFO, replaced John Graham as President of Security, Government and Infrastructure (S,G & I) in December 2013. Graham became CEO of Omnitracs – a fleet management solutions provider.

Connected World Of Doers
Connectivity was a theme seen in consumer markets at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014. For example, decentralised workflows packaged via an Internet of Things (IoT) and Third Industrial Revolution (TiR) are now being widely adopted in 3D design communities. HxGN Live should feature numerous examples where sensor information has been used alongside a variety of communication channels. This includes social media or content management systems (CMS). In a connected world information can now be used anywhere, and by anyone, as long as an internet connection is available. Teamwork is now a worldwide activity!
Storytelling takes on many forms at HxGN Live. Video interviews, podcasts and social media optimisation are a big part of the event.
The best examples of how to use a technology comes from the people or user communities working with them on a daily basis. HxGN Live will present a variety of user driven presentations looking to help grow and support precision measurement, data collection and data use.
ERDAS continue to develop power spatial information solutions.
Software, Sensor and Workflow Integration
Dynamic GIS from ERDAS was an obvious solution to keep an eye on when Hexagon acquired Intergraph in 2010. Since that time, solutions like Cyclone and Truview (Leica Geosystems HDS brand) have seemlessly crossed over into Intergraph Process, Power and Marine (P,P & M) workflows. It will be interesting to see, for example, how Dynamic GIS is working within the UAV market given the acquisition of Aibotix in 2014.
